Azure marketplace transactable offering & automated deployment on Azure.

Parallels RAS is listed as a managed app in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace in addition to the current BYOL (Bring Your Own License) listing. Parallels RAS deployments can now count towards your Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC). This method of deployment through the Azure Marketplace also unlocks full automation of Parallels RAS deployment on Microsoft Azure, where one can deploy a configurable number of Parallels Connection Brokers, Secure Gateways, Session hosts, and more, along with automated configuration for Azure Virtual Desktop integration.

Self-service registration for email-based OTP.

This is a multi-factor authenticator where the one-time password (OTP) is sent to the end-user via their preferred email address. End-users can register their email address, which may be different from the configured corporate email address, to receive the OTP as a second-factor authentication during their login. Administrators can configure where the registered email address is to be stored, including a custom Active Directory (AD) attribute or built-in Parallels RAS database.

Agent auto-upgrade.

A typical Parallels RAS environment is made up of multiple components and session hosts, which require to be updated to the latest Parallels versions for customers to benefit from new and improved functionality. For a smoother upgrade or update process, automation is introduced. This allows for the session host agentsto be updated automatically following the update of the Parallels Connection Broker without the administrator’s intervention. In addition, the administrator is also able to set the auto-upgrade time window so that the auto-upgrade can take place during the allocated time.

Multi-monitor support for Parallels Web Client.

End-users can now use multiple monitors when accessing their virtual apps and desktops through the Parallels Web Client. This increases end-user experience and productivity when using both managed and unmanaged devices. Ideal for organizations with Bring-your-Own-Device (BYOD) initiatives and hybrid workforce.

Extended image management for Nutanix AHV (AOS).

Following the latest image management capabilities introduced for Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Hyper- V and VMware Center, and ESXi, Parallels RAS 19.4 brings this extended image management to Nutanix AHV (AOS). This provides customers using Nutanix as a Parallels RAS provider with the ability to create different versions of the same RAS template, for efficient roll out and roll back, enhanced image lifecycle management with version tags, and scheduled updates.

Active Directory (AD) based permissions for session management.

An administrator can set session management permissions specific to a Parallels custom administrator depending on their Active Directory (AD) group membership. This allows more granular session management administration, ideal for Service Providers or larger enterprises with multiple designated help desk administrators.

Administrator permissions to view license information.

This feature adds a specific view permission for Parallels power and custom administrators. If viewing license information is allowed, administrators will be presented with the Parallels licensing information in both the Parallels RAS console and the web-based Management Portal.
